Love comes in every shape and size. For so long, same sexed couples were faced with inequality of being unable to marry their best friend, life partner and lover. Thankfully, Australia has now recognised that love is love and any two people can tie the knot.
These two handsome grooms, Christian and Kevin are close friends of mine who I asked to be a part of this styled shoot that took place in August 2017 before the legalisation of same sexed marriage. These two lovebirds celebrated fifteen years together in November 2017 and over 5000 days of loving one another at the time of our shoot. Their complete support and consideration for the other has always made me smile whenever I’ve been in their company. This was a chance for me to find out more about their ongoing adventure through life together.
We brought together some of Perth’s best wedding vendors and created a relaxed winter wedding vibe at one of my favourite Fremantle venues, Guildhall Event Space. The talents of our florist, Lee of Floral State designed a stunning cascading display of foliage and florals where the boys shared vows and words of adoration to each other. Our long table was styled by Sarah of Lyndley Mill and showcased some of Winterwares stunning handmade creations and catering from Propeller North Fremantle. Emily from Grey Rabbit Design penned the stationary set that features pet names and their tally of days as a couple.
